Dilemma, where to go after Vietnam?

I need some advice! I'm frustrating myself unnessessarily i think!

I am on a RTW trip for 6 months and currently have a tour booked through SE Asia, finishing in Hanoi on 1 July.

I'll need to be back in London by 14 July so for the next 2 weeks i was thinking of going to Hong Kong and then onto Beijing and flying home from there but it's so expensive to fly to Hong Kong from Hanoi and from Hong Kong to Beijing plus the cost of the chinese visa is proving expensive and i am running out of money fast.

Can anyone recommend going somewhere cheaper? I was thinking Malaysia and Singapore do you think that will be cheaper? And to fly back to London from Singapore, i think this would be cheaper as it's a major stopover route?

Malaysia and Singapore would work out cheaper to get to as they are served by Air Asia, JetStar and Tiger budget airlines. If you fly back to the UK from Malaysia instead of Singapore you will be able to fly with Air Asia X, probably saving you quite a bit of money!
