Drive from san diego to san francisco

Hiya!!

Me and my sister are going to america in september for 2 weeks. We plan to drive from san diego to san francisco along the coast. Any ideas as to what we should do/see along the coast?? Thanks!!!

Great timing. Weather will be warm and very few crowds on the coast.

Everyone has their favorites, but since you are starting in San Diego here are some ideas:

La Jolla and Torrey Pines are nice. So is Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
Recommend San Clemente Beach.
Further up the coast is Huntington Beach pier. Lots of things to do in the area.
