i am, along with 2 companions, leaving for a trip in tanzania the end of july. we would like to get our visas before heading over. with less than 8 weeks to departure, do we have enough time to send in our passports and expect everything to be done by mid july, or are we better off just getting the visas at the border (airport)?
thanks for your help!
Most nationalities can get their visas at the border on arrival - that is also the easiest and quickest way. Not sure of your nationality so can't give you more info but I have found this website very useful and it lists which nationalities need visa's in advance too... www.projectvisa.com
Yes, you can get your visa at the border (as Overlandin states), as long as your nationality permits. It'll cost you around $55(USA) and expect quite a wait. It normally takes around 10-15 minutes per person.
If you have any doubts, consult the Tanzania Consulate in your country.
