I see and I understand 4mp minimum prevents the risk of someone doing a google image.

I will use 8mp then in the future and I use a 4GB SDHC Sandisk III EXrtreme. I use EOM Li-Ion batteries.

I use GIMP/Photoshop and it works amazing on 2mp photos and I don't know where your photos at 2mp weren't printing to A4, like I said Fuji have a much higher resolution processor then the rivals and this I think has mention quality A4 photos have been produced.

As a film maker i also use tape, miniDV and use I use it freely :D

I'm on www.imdb.com

Search for Simon Lavender or Privacy, my short film is the 2006 one. If you see the boomerang, I made it!

Cool, well done to get a short film up :) I did that stuff for quite few years - well, not short films, but corporate videos, tv ads, etc .. had quite enough by the end of it!

I was invited to get my footage on IMDB , I have been with them for almost 10 years, been a top 1000 voter and if they used your "travel guru" or even "movie guru" status, I would definitately be a movie guru :D

Sorry to say this but I use IMDB more than TP but if my daily poll suggestions were taken on board I would be on here more than the normal 1 hour a day I spent on TP :)

Off to Helsinki in under 24 horus yay!

So in Norway, you have printed out profile pics of all the moderators?

Daily poll suggestions? I think I missed that one..

Yes, my wall is aligned with all the moderators' profile pics; it's got a high motivational factor :)

Sadly, no, no photos on my wall, moderator or otherwise

I must admit that one of the reasons that i've never entered a TP photo competition is because very few of my pics are 4mp (and if they are, I always resize them to make the much smaller before i upload to TP). Admittedly I'm in no way a photographer and wouldn't ever win anything anyway, but it would sometimes be nice to at least put forward a photo!! Its only the last 3months or so that i've started taking shots at a resolution high enough to even qualify, simply because they used to fill up the memory cards too quickly, and it can be hard to find a way to back up (i don't have a burner on the road, and am often in places with no electricity, let alone anything else) and uploading more than a handful of resized small pics every couple of weeks is just too hard on poor dialup connections.

((i admit that if i'm in Europe/more developed/touristy places, it's not so much of an issue as backups/internet options are much better))

On a barely unrelated comment, i'd like to query why on the photos that have been submitted and are up for the voting it hows the username? i can understand reasons for it, but think it would be much better if no usernames were shown as it can in no way turn into a popularity contest (i'm not saying that it does, but it could) and is solely down to the quality of the pics.

Just to be clear here - the photo you upload to TP doesn't have to be 4MP. You just have to have a 4MP original available in case you win. If that wasn't clear from the wiki pages, let me know so we can somehow make it more obvious.
