Hi Guys,

Im heading off to oz at the end of Nov, heading to sydney for a few days then flying to Cairns and am going to make my way back down the coast on bus? Cant decide either Oz Ex or Graeyhound? im meeting a friend in cairns and we are going to go together but as she is currently working in Broome her plans might change so if that happens ill be going alone.. I dont mind this as I really want to do the east coast when i first arrive as I dont want to get stuck in Sydney.. Hope to settle there after I do the east coast.. Can anyone tell me what is the best way to head down the coast.. Will accommodation be scarce?? I really want to see all the hot spots.. Fraser, Whitsundays etc.. Is the weather going to be monsoon or will we still be able to do the whitsundays?? Flying to Cairns hopefully 02nd Dec.. I really want to be back in Sydney for Xmas Eve or New years eve at latest.. Im goin to visit friends in Sydney and stay with them..... All posts welcome :) Thanks !! :):):):)

hey! i'm headed the opposite route (sydney to cairns) next month and was in the same boat as you... oz experience or greyhound. oz is more of a party scence and you'll have the potential to get stuck someplace for a few extra days because you can't get a bus out. greyhound runs more often, can go overnight (save on some accomm) and just has a different crowd. both good for different reasons. i still haven't quite decided, but when i do i'll let you know how it was!
