I have never been travelling before and been thinking about it for a while. Only problem is I am in full time work and i am pretty well paid, so I sort of wanted the best of both worlds and thought about maybe taking a month off some time next year to go travelling. I thought about America but really I have no idea, how much travelling could I actually do in a month realistically and would it be enough?
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I look forward to your replies. x
By travelling you mean going off for longer?
You essentially have two options: Travel during the time you can get off work, taking short trips or work until you have saved every penny or cent you could possibly spare and then quit your job and go for several months.
Most people here choose to do the former, but many are saving up for that big around the world too.
I could give you a better advice if you could fill out your profile, give your citizenship, your place of residence, where you have been before, etc. And "I thought about America" is a bit vague - are you talking about North or South, the USA or Canada, Brazil, Venezuela or Argentina? There is no way you will be able to cover the whole double continent, but 4 weeks should be enough time to see the highlights in a certain area or a country.
Hi thanks to your reply, but after serious thought have decided I wont have enough time to do America so have settled on Europe. I have 2 weeks off in May and I would like to see as much ofn Europe as possible but realise this is silly so think am going to stick to 3 countries. The first country I am interested in seeing is France (never been always wanted too), really keen to see the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. I am also interested in the French Riviera to see some of the best beaches and experience some nightlife there and as well as St. Tropez. Now I am not sure which countries to also look at. any ideas from fellow travellers?
Europe is beautiful, not enough people take advantage of it!
