I was reading your post....and the first few lines were exactly what I am doing. lol. I fly out on the 26th September and fly to Melbourne. Going to make my way up to Sydney and stay for a while. I will be traveling for 8 weeks. Wish i was going for the year. Lucky you!! I will be traveeling on my own too....so yeah looking for same buddies. been in contact with a few people heading out during this time, who iv met on this site.
I am 24...but will be 25 by the time I get out there and from Ireland. Are you flying from London???
Whats up Craig.
I'll be in Oz in September as well, though not sure exactly where I'll be as I have work plans arranged and they send me out to jobs. I fly into Sydney around September 15th.
d03mm: Why only 8 weeks you gotta do a year or 2 lol. Yer will be flying from London its the cheapest to fly from if you havent paid for flight yet check out Air Asia i'm defo flying with them cheapest I have found with a stop over in Kuala lumpur. On the 26th I should be in Sydney if I stick to my plan really just depends on money at mow Im killing my self working 60+ hour week at 2 jobs so I will have around £4500-£5000 to take with me to OZ of which £2000s for Melbourne, Sydney before hopefully starting fruit picking starting the longer it lasts the longer I might stay in either city.
WebGuy: Are you of to OZ for a 1 year working holiday visa then, What sort of work have you signed up for. Sept 15 if stick to my plan I would be just leaving Melbourne or just arriving in Sydney or neither just dont know.
hi craig.....could you just tell me where you will be fruit picking nd you have came accross the work?????im hoping to be in oz early november time after travelling through asia,am thinking of doing a little work along the way too but wasnt sure about hows the best way to find work before i get out there....many thanks...Dan

Hi all, i've got a very similar itinerary to you - fly into Sydney on the 22nd September.... and wondering what to do from there really!! Depending on the weather I might get a flight up to Cairns and do the east coast ending up in Melbourne.. my return flight is booked for the end of November but that'll probably change
