cheap accomodations lago di como lago di garda

Hello
lm going to visit lago di como and lago di garda in Sept and would like to know of any very low price accomodations that are by the lakeside
lm just starting so havent planned much so as to which place exactly l would like to visit
so feel free to suggest and reccomend.
l will be there for a week and then off to Spain

This isn't going to help you at all, but about 25 years ago when i was a little kid stayed in Menaggio in the Grand Hotel Menaggio. We were the last guests to stay there before it got a complete overhaul and so we stayed there very cheap indeed. Now it is one of the most expensive hotels on Como!!! It is apparantly where Mussolini spent his 2nd to last night before being shot and hanged.

There's a good campsite in Bardolino that I remember wasn't too expensive. That's 10 years ago, though.

There's not a lot of cheap beds to be found on Como. I stayed at the Bazzoni, which is in Tremezzo. It's right on the lakeside and for the price, it was excellent. It was around €60 a night for a single room - including a really nice breakfast. I ate dinner in a small restaurant down the road that was much cheaper than theirs. There are a few reviews hanging about within Yahoo! and Google. I'd be happy to go there again.
