OK I'm currently in Ko Samui and need to get to Kuala Lumpur. What's the best/cheapest way to do this. So far cheapest I have been quoted is 1300baht for a boat and bus which will take 24hours+.

Firefly connects you to Kuala Lumpur via Subang Airport (SZB), the former KL International Airport before it moved to it moved to its current site. This old KL airport is actually closer to the city centre (about 20-30 mins drive) compared to the current new one at Sepang, which is an hour's drive away (but only 28 mins on the high-speed train). Anyway, if you're flying back anytime soon, that would cost you a lot as the cheap fares have probably all been snapped up. |
