We see that the rates are actually pretty good but wondering if we should have any concerns. Anything to be aware of etc? For example, are delays common?

I flew with Air Asia several times when I was travelling round SE Asia and was pretty impressed with them. I didn't experience any delays and the service was good.

its pretty reasonable....
u have to buy ur food and beverage and seating space is not very spacious..
they do have delays once in a while..
but otherwise its a good budget airline.

Like most budget airlines, you pay for all extras. I flew BKK-HAN with Air Asia, went OK. No delays, decent service for a budget airline. I will use them again.

i've flown with air asia around a dozen time or more. i experienced occasional delay when flying domestically in indonesia and one time when i flew back from KL to medan. but their international flights to countries in south east asia are quite nice.

Hi,

I flew Air Asia three times - two of these were a part of internation flights with Malaysian Airlines, BKK to KL return, and another KL to BKK. Found them to be a great low fair airline. You have to pay for any extras like ryanair etc, but I found the service was a lot better than you would expect for the price. Would definitely fly with them again

flown them all over se asia and will continue to do so. very good and incredibly cheap.

I paid in 2006 bangkok-macau return £40! KUL- Sarawak return £73! Bkk-Kul one way £11. well worth it.

:)

I have travelled with them before and it is a good budget airline. I will use them again in my next SEA trip. No complaints.

I've been scammed by AirAsia before, they sent me a text message a night before my flight claiming our flight was rescheduled, so the next morning I called them 10+ times to confirm it, NOBODY answered, and was on hold for hour or more

Then when I finally go thru to them, they said my flight was on time, I told them about the text, they claimed it was sent in error, I asked to put us on another flight (there were 4 of us), they said sorry, I'll have to buy 4 new flights, they put on manager, manager gave me contact info for higher-up managers via email, the email address they gave me never worked, therefore I was unable to contact anyone able to help us

We were forced to buy 4 brand new flights, and were unsuccessful getting refunds for those previous flights

THUMBS DOWN to Air Asia!!!!! (but you can certainly find SUPER cheap flights with them sometimes, just remember if anything goes wrong, YOU will get screwed over, NOT them)
