Hello,
I am planning on doing some camping with a few friends on Kangaroo Island around December 18/19-22. I have looked at the Kangaroo Island site and they list a few places for bush camping: American River, Antechamber Bay, Browns Beach, Stokes Bay, Vivonne Bay and Western River. I was wondering which of these places would be best. I know we will want to do hiking and seeing lots of the natural beauty Kangaroo Island has to offer, but I'd rather we only move tent locations once if that while on the Island. Any suggestions?

Vivonne Bay is the most wonderful beautiful place to base yourself. It is cheap the location is superb, get in early of a morning and pick your spot, fishing, swimming, birdwtahcing, hiking, general store nearby. Heaven on earth is Vivonne Bay

Do you know if we can make reservations for Vivonne Bay, or if it will be very crowded around 19-23rd of December?

I cant remember the name of the campsite, but it was on the south west side of the island - right by a place called Koala Alley. It was a real good place to camp as the wildlife was all round the campsite.

Though I agree Vivonne Bay has one of the best beaches Ive ever seen. Friendly doplphins too!
