I just booked a trip to Cardiff for later in the month. Turns out there is something called the FIM British Speedway Grand Prix taking place at Millennium Stadium, which is dirt bikes racing around a track. I'm always up for seeing some sport I've never seen before, but wouldn't want to shell out more than the £29 for the cheap seats, which I assume will be up in the nose bleed section of the stadium. I think I'd probably enjoy watching the bikes okay, but would be looking for a little more in the way of entertainment as well. They mention music and "fun for the whole family" on one site. I'd be interested in going if it wasn't just 3 hours of sitting and watching bikes, but there was a little more to do.
Has anyone ever been to one of these events? Is it worth going to even if you are sitting up in the cheap seats? What other entertainment is on offer?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Greg
