Hi
I am going on a round the world trip next year once I have graduated but as I am likely to be going on my own I need some advise on the best ways to get around and meet other people.
I have seen alot of tours advertised with people like sta travel, and the greyhound bus tours in oz seem like a good way to see the country as well. Has anybody had any good or bad experience with group tours??

I would like to go to thailand, china and india (possibly), australia, fiji, new zealand, usa and south africa.

I wont be limited on time but would like to see as much as I possibly can and in a safe way! As a girl on my own I wouldnt like to be stranded lol

Any advice of any sorts on what to see and do and how to get around these countries would really be appreciated :)

thank you!!!

Tours can be a bit, well, touristy. Although, if you are new to leaving your country and you might be frightened about being alone, they are a great way to have guaranteed company and a bit of a security blanket in the form of a tour leader speaking the local language. I have used a company called GAP, and it was well organized. However, I'd encourage you to frequent hostels, book activities you love, talk to people on public transport and such - you'll meet people EVERYWHERE, esp. in hostels and clubs. Certain times you can’t avoid using a tour company, i.e rafting adventures, Machu Picchu, etc…

Good luck and have fun!

Ya i totally agreed with you. You should take any good company and not to travel alone. If you have much time then go all places otherwise first travel a few places deeply. You should have all the knowledge of any place. You can help of google search engine.
