Hi Josh,

I had a great time on Ko Tao. The diving there is great from hearsay, since when I was there I didn't have my padi yet.... I'll make it back one of these days :)

Anyway, it's a great island for relaxing and I can remember there was also some partying ...

Anywhere on Haad Sairee will probably sort you out - eg AC resort.

I was there late November/early December last year, planning on returning in the same time frame this year . . . great place, very chill, nice dives. Like the earlier post, I would also recommend staying on Sairee. I've stayed at Ban's on Sairee which worked very well as I was diving.

If you won't be there during peak season (post Christmas through May), you probably won't need to make reservations ahead of time . . . check a few places out before you decide.

hi there
I stayed on koh tao for a week in july - i wanted to never leave again! it's amazing, diving's great, people are nice and you can either party or relax in peace, whatever you like!
i had a really nice wooden bungalow - really basic, but just on the beach in hat sai ree, the address is o-chai 2. but i saw one guy's bungalow in o-chai (a few steps down the beach) and it was a lot prettier, even though not right on the sand. however, there are tons of possibilities, just have a look around and you'll find something really nice and inexpensive!
the same with diving schools, if you're looking for one. step in, talk to people and choose one where you feel comfortable. because in price and offer they're all more or less the same!
have fun, it's gonna be great, I promise!!!
