I was wondering if anyone has spent time here. I am interested in spending 2 - 3 day's camping, however not planning on bringing a car. Is there a good system of trails or is it mostly backroads/bushwacking?

Have you even looked at a map?

Are you flying up ($$$$$$$$$) or taking the Ferry? (a logistical challenge)

Because that matters as to where you'll start your journey-Graham or Moresby Island and there is no way in hell you're going to see anything in 2-3 days you need at least a week

BTW-if you have no car you'll be hitching everyone does.

I've been 8 times and am going back next month.

Sam, I work for AC, so I'll be flying up. I'm going to head to the map store in calgary before I go and see what they have. Can you recommend a few hikes or maybe a nice area... What would be the "must see's"?

Thanks for the reply!

Naikoon/Rose Spit-gorgeous places, where the Raven found the humans-Haida legend.

Try and get out on the water for a kayak or zodiac tour the intertidal life is unbelievable in some places.

If you're flying into Sandspit you'll need to take the ferry from Alliford Bay over to Graham Island, Masset @ the top end is something of a hole (serious drug/alcohol abuse probs in the community), Charlotte City a more welcoming place with more facilities for visitors.

As I said before hitching is the way to go and a great way to meet locals/gather info, the Sandspit Airport has some info-or did-I flew into Masset last time.
