Sup Sup everyone!

Tim checking in here from Rotorua, NZ. I did the Tongariro Crossing today, 8 hour hike to the top of a volcanic region! It was absolutely amazing!! Took about 50 photos but need to recharge my battery as it died on the top of the peak. Booooooooo!

But all in all, the trip so far is amazing! Seen and done lots of GREAT things! And got the photos to prove it! W00t!

Anyways, Shishy (Michelle), as Mike had said, you are more then welcome to join. We invite all TP memebers and their friends! And the cool thing is, the more the people staying, the cheaper it gets for everyone! So bring em on! Michelle, just let us know when you plan on getting in and we can get the accommodation all set up.

Emma, the 8 weeks will go FLYING by! My last 4 weeks before I left went like a blur! Just dont think much about it and before you know it, it's time to hop on the plane and start it all up!

Hope everyone is well, I'm taking off and crashing. The walk today killed me and I need to get my rest!

No problem mate! your so lucky to start your travelling already i cant wait till september. How long are you travelling for and where are you headed?

Hi to everyone and I hope everyone is getting even more excited! And Tim is having a great time I see!:)
For anyone else who is thinking of joining the group there will be room for you to stay if you arrive with the early group.
I have extended the second site to be available from the early date (23rd Dec?) to ensure everyone has a spot.
If it doesn't get used early? No hassle, no cost.
And just to reassure all the 'singles' that will be here & that may be travelling alone: We run as a family caravan park/ campground so we operate a fairly tight ship here :) But we also understand that Christmas/New Year is a special time.
Every persons safety & security is still the top priority though.
Security is on site 24 hours every day.
All the staff here are great people and I think as a nation we have a rep as friendly people that is justified. It's certainly justified here at the Tourist Park.
I've just posted a video on You Tube of one of our 'residents'.
10 people so far, any guesses on how many there will be at the end? :)
And remember, if you have any questions at all, drop us an email to the tourist park, me directly or throught this forum.

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies.... I am flying in on the 28th October... seems like a lifetime away... especially seeing that emma is 8 weeks away and Mike Allen has 9... so jealous guys, i've still got around 80 working days left.. OUCH!!
(i'm pretty much working every weekend to fund my trip)

Can anyone say roughly how long it takes to travel down the East Coast??? I really wanna camp in Sydney for New Year!!! would you say 2 months would be good enough to see the high lights>?

Webguy what do I have to do get myself all set-up for the camping Extravaganza..?

Michelle x

Hi Michelle.
Good timing!! 7.40am here at the moment. Cairns to Sydney? 3 weeks is heaps of time but if you have more time, take advantage of it. Give yourself plenty of time to experience Sydney though. A week maybe? Plenty of things to see and do that are close to Sydney as well.
If you're heading to Melbourne you only need a few days at the most to get there from Sydney.
Driving from Cairns to Sydney can be done in a few days if you were really rushed but it would be a lot of driving.
Bring your suntan cream! The sun will be really fierce by Dec.
