hey there folks.. my buddy and I are heading to Rome for a week over Xmas.. just wondering if there are any top-tips on places to stay(cheap of course).. things to do, maybe off the beaten track so to speak.. we would also like to check out a football match when we're there.. so, im all ears..
Well, I spent my xmas in Rome last year. We went to dine somewhere close to the Vatican and then we went to watch the mass at Vatican's church (Saint Peter). I think, even if you're not catholic, it's worthwhile to check this out....
I stayed at a place quite cheap, but I can't remember neither the name nor the address now.... I'll try to check in my diary and tell u later, ok?
thanks there, michellemm.. yeah im not really too religeous, but i think it would be very cool to check out St Peter's square.. the masses of people.. and of course pigeons!
so.. was Rome still very lively.. ie: bars, restaurants, shops..?
thanks for looking up the place you stayed at..
Hi i suggest you to spend your time till 6 january
Lazio-Roma - 06-01-05 15:00 - Olimpico
That's could be the best match that you can see in Italy it's really a great experience
Also you can see: Roma-Parma - 19-12-04 15:00 - Olimpico
but it's not the same thing....
Have a nice time in Rome and you can just walk around it's really beatiful all in the center.
im going on the 22nd to the 29th.. i guess i might not manage to get to a game.. i would love to go to the Rome derby.. what an atmosphere.. i read about it every year..!
i will just have to go to the club shop for some souveniers instead.. not sure which one yet though..
