My family and I will be moving to the Great Yarmouth, England area....Yarmouth is beautiful, but coming from Southern Louisiana, USA we are a little concerned with flooding. We don't want a long commute to work, does anyone have any recommendations about where in the area is more suitable?

I don't know the area so I cannot really comment, but thought that maybe you should know of this website. As you can see, the UK has a fairly elaborate early warning system in place. While it cannot stop a flood, it at least can prevent nasty consequences like in the US.
Great Yarmouth is on the East Coast. It very rarely floods there, although the closeby cliffs are corroding at a rapid pace and some of the houses along the shoreline are literally worthless.
Norfolk has a very good water basin, thus - the whole county isn't subjected to much flooding at all.
From Great Yarmouth, you are just a short commute ride away from the County City of Norwich. Lovely place - and the job opportunities are good, in many fields of industry.
Good luck with your new venture.

I'll second Redpaddy on that - Norwich would be a top choice. If you're after a smaller place, the market towns like Beccles and Bungay are worth a look too.
