Just a quick note to advise travelers that Puerto Vallarta and all of Jalisco is fine for travel. We never did get a swine flu outbreak, though people differ on if we had cases confirmed, maybe 2 or so, no deaths. Far from the world fears like a regular flu season where thousands die each year. Bars and restaurants are all open, cruise ships are returning with visitors bearing pesos, much needed in this area where the scare caused many layoffs [read 40,000, can that be true?] and people just do not have the money for feed their families. So, we have been holding various food drives and will continue all summer since so many need assistance and we with the means will be there for them.
