Hi All,
I am planning a trip thru the Balkans... I have seven weeks off, YIPPY!! I am a bit of a worry-wart, so i am trying to do as mcuh planning before i go. I would LOVE any suggestions... but here is what i have so far...I will start in Croatia, continue down to Montenegro, swing up to Bosnia & Herzegovina, over into Serbia, continue on to Romania, Bulgaria and finally Macedonia (If time allows, I may visit Moldova and Albania). I obviously want to see the touristy place (they are usually touristy for good reasons), but i am also looking for something more. I am looking to experience the country, meet/ exchange ideas with the locals, experience every day life and see these countries through untouristy eyes.
I love camping, chatting over coffee/ tea, listening to someone else’s story, and wandering a unfamiliar place (not such a big partier). I look meeting local people and exchanges ideas.
I am a confident solo woman traveler, traveling alone, but if there are any parts of the country i should be *extra* cautious, any advice/ suggestions would be appreciated!!. I also wanted to bring my tent (i dont know if i will need it), but camping is definitely an option.

Ps... I would love to visit Southern coast of Albania... is it worth it, border crossings/ international transportations to Albania doesnt sound easy?? and it is safe for a solo woman travel?! So many questions (sorry about that)
