I'm not sure if I see the point of this thread. Semantic decomposition aside (at which level I agree with you that the term is rather funny), I believe most national legislations offer quite clear definitions of sex tourism, sex tourists and the circumstances in which either are punishable, whether in one's country of residency or in the country of perpetration.

well.... I agree with you .

;)

The original poster got his wish.

OK, now I will abandon the soapbox and let others chime in with their 2 cents.

Yes, I got a "final warning" for posting topics that are deemed irrelevant, and intended to provoke conversation.

well the guy that shared my table @ Mc.donalds is a sex tourist... and I had to listen to him for more than 4 hours discussing about ACADEMIC issues... what a hypocritical old fart and I feel so disgusted for even arguing with a self proclaimed INTELLECTUAL... Who loves to talk about economics and everything few people should talk about when having their beers in a hip bar.

This is why I would not want to be called a sex tourist... coz that old man represented a species of travellers. He has so much passion talking about things he doesnt care about, as much as he cared about teenage girls. Fortunately, he is poor and so he can't buy sex. But I am so disgusted listening to his confessions... I still have to learn how to just tell people to "FUCK OFF!" atleast to those who cant read body language.

I'd love for you to explain, just once, why you put up with people you don't like. You could have just walked away and that would have been that. I really think you revel in misery.

Good to see this "irelevant" post still going strong at 44 replies. Must be the most relevant irelevant post ever.

Frankly, Swept, I'm concerned at how much time you spend in McDonalds.

Beerman and I wondered the same thing - 4 hours?? Wow - you must be a bored traveler or really, really hungry.

Sorry bwiiian - but it seems you missed the point. It wasn't the initial question that was irrelevant - it was the remainder of the original post. But, I digress.

Some people hang out in the hostel... I am traveller, but I am currently based in one area for another 4 weeks.
I'm not a big fan of Mc.donalds, and I am vegetarian. I come here when I miss home.

Sometimes, we forget how to just leave...

For me TP is about sharing (e.g. advice, anecdotes, photos and travel stories) and yes talking about tourism as such. I'm also aware that sex tourism exists, but I'm certainly not interested to hear about someone's sex tourism adventures.

What exactly should we discuss about sex tourism?[/quote]

Who wanted to talk a person's sex tourism adventures? What is there to discuss, perhaps nothing. Like one member, "The original poster got what he wanted"... which is a definition... and how many people cared to answer.... If I had 19,773 post, i'd call it irrelevant too.
