I am Canadian and I want to move to Chicago in the end of september. I need a work Visa for the U.S, I have no idea where to start. I have read a lot about different options for a work visa, but I am totally lost right now.
Has anyone here successfully gone through this whole work visa thing...?
How long does it take, for a Canadian Citizen to get a Work Visa.. and what is the best way to get one...??
I think there is the nafta thing right? north american free trade agreement. look into that.
have a look at the US govt site
Thank you Paul,
The thing is, I have already been through all that Nafta thing. I had posted something about getting a visa a few months ago, and I have got the same answer... Nafta is more complicated than it seems. I do have a bachelor degree, so I would be eligible for Nafta, but finding a "Nafta job" is not so easy. I guess it seems so complicated to get a visa to work in the us, even for a canadian citizen, that I need to have someone telling me he has done it and it wasn't so hard in the end... I have tried to read and understand every singe detail on the U.S government site and the U.S consulate site, but it is just discouraging.
Has anyone got a good experience with getting a work visa to share with me....
