I am mainly asking about a particular country such as New Zeland:

Would you want to do at least one of the following sporting activies; in particular which ones? Rafting, Zorbing, Bungee jumping?

Are there any things you would like to do whilst travelling could be the silly ones like sleeping but also:

Eating local cuisine
Seeing local churches/buildings/palaces/castles
National Parks/Nature parks/woods/forests
Lakes/Rivers

Just wondering :)

Surfing, something which living slap bang in the middle of England, a few hours from any coastline, I've never had the chance to do.

Right this minute... Sit on a beach with a cocktail and wait for the sun to go down. But that's not gonna happen today...

Depends on the type of trip...

Absolutely need to relax for a couple of weeks:

  • Stay at an all-inclusive
  • Drink lots of cocktails
  • Make as many dives as possible
  • Snorkel between dives
  • Hunt down the illusive unique/rare shell on the beaches
  • Watch the sunrise
  • Watch the sunset

Want to see what's around for a couple of weeks:

  • Take a road trip
  • Take in the local culture
  • Take in the local cuisine
  • Find those "off the beaten path" jewels (towns, beaches, hotels, people, eateries, etc.)
  • Meet people

I've seen two total solar eclipses (one in England and another in Zambia).
I would just love to see the one happening in 2012, in Northern Australia. An expensive 4 minutes, I live in England - but oh!!!!

If I could go back to new zealand I'd prob go directly to wellington...wind surf during the day and drink at night.

Similar to Isadora, diving and snorkelling are high on my list of things to do when I go on a holiday, because I can't really do that in Germany .
Sailing, kayaking or bush walking are also activities I enjoy and aside from that, depending on my budget,
I love to do adventure activities such as skydiving and bungy jumping .

Wow I never knew about this and I live here! well on the east coast anyway, seems like a road trip will be in order! Do you know where you have to be to see it?

For myself I love doing anything active and getting in and absorbing the culture, on my list of things I have done are Bunji at Vic falls, White water rafting in Uganda, Canyoning in New Zealand and living in a tree house in Laos.
Some regulars activities are diving/snorkelling, trekking, kyaking etc.
I usually need a holiday to get over my holiday! lol.

The rest are shown here for the years 2000-2020.

I hope to be there too!
