Does anyone know a relatively easy way to get from either Calgary or Vancouver to the Trail/Castlegar area without having to pay the extortionate flight costs Air Canada charge for the short hop. It costs more to fly from either of those two places to Castlegar than it does to fly from London to Canada! So i am looking for other ways of getting there....

Greyhound buses runs there. About $125 from Calgary or Vancouver one-way for an adult with no discount. |

A little cheaper out of Vancouver than Calgary. That area of BC is also a common area for hitching, if that is something your comfortable with. |
