Hiya

My boyfriend and I are going travelling for 3 months oct, nov, dec and are in need of some advice.

We are visiting Bangkok, Phuket and Ko Samui and would like some Hotel recommendations? We are looking for hotels near the beach with a pool. We havnt got budgets as such but were thinking of maybe £50 per night (but we will take advice)

Our Itinerary is:
sri lanka
bangkok
Phuket
Ko Samui
SidneyPerth
NewZealand
Fiji
Brisbane

so any advice on any of the above would be much appreciated!

We would appreciate any advice.. places to go...things to do.

Thank you

I have a few suggestions. On hotel/guesthouses you can use the TP option, left panel. Click on 'Accommodation', choose Thailand, then Phuket or Samui, rough arrival dates. There are hundreds of hotels listed, price, availability, amenities. You can also go here and here and see what looks like a place you would like to stay. I would not lock myself into a hotel on a specific date. You will be able to find something in your price range when you arrive. It looks like you will be in Tland in Oct. High season really kicks in mid Nov, so you will be OK not booking anything until you are there.

I suggest you take a look at the Krabi area as well as Phuket. Phuket has it's own International airport and gets hoards of upscale Europeans every winter. Perhaps you might enjoy some beaches that are less crowded. Take a look at Railay Beach, Koh Lanta, Koh Jum, perhaps Phi Phi. Depending on your time, you may want to hit a few other beaches besides Phuket.

Good luck with your planning.
