Hmmm... try Monterey AirBus. I didn't look to compare the prices to see what is cheaper, but they will drop you off right in Monterey. |

Greyhound can get you there from both downtown SF and SFO. A rental car would be much better since the peninsula is rather spread out - you'll want to get down to Carmel, Pt. Lobos and Big Sur. The bus usually goes via Salinas and San Jose and is time consuming. |
