I'm going to go to Italy this August with my friend and I wanted to find some good option of accommodation in Milan and Florence. I was searching the Web and found these 2 hostels:
I chose these 2 as I'm interested in twin rooms - they have it and they are both in good locations convenient to start sightseeing.
If anyone could comment on that, I'd be grateful

B 4 you settle on a Hostel which are OK because it's what you need, I would try the Italian Pensione's...these are all over and are equivalent to our BED & BREAKFAST...Much nicer accomadations...Good LUCK enjoy Italy..the most fantastic
place in Europe..
Thanks for a quick response Vin10is,
I'm looking for a hostel as it's more 'user-friendly' for me - younger people, many possible buddies to chat and have a beer (or a wine in Italy) with
I think these 2 mentioned above can be reasonable to choose as of the price and location, so maybe I'll book them soon.
I agree about the pensiones it is definitely the better way to go. I would recommend venere.com web site to find inexpensive rooms. They also have peoples ratings.
I would strongly recommend contacting Lorenzo at www.florencehousing.it to arrange to rent an apartment. That's what I did when I spent 3 weeks in Florence last year and it was one of the best travel decisions I have ever made. There's nothing better than having your own place to cook, hang out, have new friends over, etc. for about the same price as a hostel.
