Sleeper buses from Shenzhen to Yangshuo

I am looking to travel to China in about a month and am trying to find where it is possible to book buses or night trains and what the schedules are prior to arriving in China. Can anyone let me know how I can book these prior to turning up and if their is a up to date site with the times, costs, days of operation costs etc.

Also does anyone know if a river cruise operates in the Yangshuo to Guilin direction or if it is only the opposite direction that they travel?

but I just heard this from another traveller. So the route exist.

Regular li river cruise is only from Guilin to Yangshuo direction for around 4 hours, no Yangshuo to Guilin.

There are cruises that go to Guilin from Yangshuo. How will these boats head back to the city??? I know there are, coz my friends live there.

Train tickets might be hard to get, however you can just show up a day/couple hours before the trip in a bus terminal to purchase the overnight bus in China.

The locals do it... they go passed the bus station and the driver picks them up. I paid 60 percent less, but I had to sleep in aisle. If I knew it was the deal, I wouldn't mind paying more. But sometimes I get the sleeper. You need local friends to do the buying... I look local, so I just stay quite until the bus leaves.

yes, train tickets can sell fast... But I always just show up in the train station. I never had any problems, until a recent attempt to hit Hainan island.
