Hi,

I know im being lazy just asking this question instead of researching it but im feeling pretty lazy tonight so here goes.

I plan on going to Thailand for 3 months from the beginning of November. I'm likely to have about £3000 to spend including my flights out there. Is this likely to be enough? I'm happy to slum it in crappy hostels but do plan on enjoying myself out there (partying and whatnot) and want to do a scuba diving course as well (lifelong ambition). i have no idea how far your pound goes in Thailand so any advice is appreciated.

Also, whats that time of year like out there?

I'll be going alone, is this common? Do i have anything to worry about on this score? I don't intend to spend 3 months with just my own company.

Thanks for any responses

It will be tight, but I think you can swing that amount. That is high season in Thailand normally, but these are not normal times and prices could be down a bit. Since you have all that time on your hands, why not see something of Indochina too?

I would love to but i wasnt sure if i could afford the travelling fees. Will definetely look into it cos it seems a shame to go all that way and not see the sights.

i paid 700baht per night in a decent air conned hotel, so sure you can get one cheaper than that,

food and drink is cheap, as are taxis, trains, planes and buses.

you should have a blast on 3000 if you are careful with it! good luck, i envy you.
