I've also got a question that fits the topic title.

I'm flying from UK to Vancouver in September, where I'll stay for a while before planning on travelling south by road into the US. I'm then hoping to work my way south over a number of months before exiting the country into Mexico (Then continuing the trip south).

I don't plan on having a return flight ticket from the US as I'll be flying back to the UK via a south American country at a later date. So how do I prove to customs that I will be leaving the country?

I've read that the vist issued is for 90 Days, and that the US include any time spent in Canada and Mexico as part of that time. Is this correct?

I think the reason you aren't getting an answer directly on here is that there is another thread on this exact topic currently on here.

I have a question that relates to this thread ...My fiance is a UK citizen flying into Canada ..I am a Canadian citizen with a US permanent resident card living in the USA ..we are meeting in Canada to vacation together for two weeks ...We have planned a day outing to go see an outdoor concert in Niagara Falls, New York ...Should we expect any problems or what should we expect at all? ...we are both bringing our passports and he is bringing his itinerary to show he is returning back to the UK ...he is also bringing a letter from his employer saying how long hes worked there and stating the time he is vacationing and when his date of return to work is ...any help would be greatly appreciated regarding traveling to the USA and traveling back into Canada ...

Your one way ticket will cause some problems when you enter the USA,The border guards are going to assume you are going to USA to work, they really get intense when a young single guy wants to enter the US with no particular destination and no return ticket.
