I think the structure we set up was a bit problematic. Since anyone starting now has absolutely no chance of winning, it doesn't encourage latecomers. Maybe next time we do a competition like this, we should do points for each day and then do a draw at the end, but with extra entries for those with multiple points.

Good to see all these articles taking shape in any case ;)

Quoting arif_kool

Quoting Utrecht

Well, stages winners so far:

Stage 7 Peter, Stage 8 arif kool, Stage 9 Utrecht, Stage 10 arif kool, Stage 11 Utrecht, Stage 12 arif kool

So: Peter 3, Utrecht, 3, arif kool 4! Will we have an Indian jersey here? what colour would that be arif;)

I would like to have a black colour jersey:)

But Mike, i would have liked more people to participate in this but unfortunately only we two are competing and outwitting each other !!!

I believe we should be declared the joint winners and the booty shared between us

P.S. Ohh i didnt notice, i have been elevated as a "Guru"

Hehe, the points mentioned above by me are just a random pick. It's more a funny thing. But it's not the wiki competition I am refering to by the way, just a random day pick who contributed. I heard to would have been picked out of a hat... But I just used my imagination

Are the results going to be posted here? (Not the Contador/Schleck/Amrstrong results but the wiki winner results.) Inquiring minds need to know because they are writing a blog that could use a bit of update info. Just a thought. Don't mind me. I'm waiting for the Americas Cup wiki competition.

(ps: Yes Peter, I AM feeling sorry for you with everything on your plate of late.) ;)

Edit: Okay - you finally caught me as my alter ego!!!! Took awhile though!!! Check your e-mail, I am having blog issues which will explain this duel identity post.

Welcome to TP, Foundation!!! You might find it more helpful to post an introduction in the area we call Introductions....let us know about yourself and your travel plans!! And might I say, you look mahvelous. Your profile picture of the bottom of a house is simply stunning.....

Wow! Hey, Peter (aka XXXXXXX & XXXXXXX) wondered how long it would take before I made this mistake - SIX MONTHS!!!!! (Or, thereabouts.) As for an Introduction, I've never done one as Isa, why rock the boat now. then again...

Hi Michael! ;)

Okay, Foundation (aka Isa) now turns herself back into her true identity and this thread back to it's originally scheduled topic. Though, since the Tour is over and I'm still composing...

Tallying up and checking the entries now. Hope to get back to you soon. It ended up being a good competition between Utrecht and arif_kool Lots of good little articles have come out of it.

So... the winner is... Utrecht Utrecht wins the $100 accommodation voucher.

arif_kool put up such great competition though, that we decided he really does deserve a runners-up prize, so Arif, you too will get a voucher, just a little less at $50.

Apart from you two, the really BIG winner was the Travellerspoint Foundation. I counted 34 articles with over 2000 characters, and as promised, we donated $25 for each of those articles. So a grand total of $850 has made its way to the Foundation now and will soon be put to good use as loans for entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Thanks for taking part in a great competition guys!
