Hey guys, i'll try and keep this brief, basically im considering travelling through europe for one month - 2 months, i have a budget of around 1500 (could go higher if i really had to)

i was just wondering if anyone had any advice for me or expierence in this area, i have looked at the one month inter rail pass but im asking myself if i will really use it for all thats its worth, i mean im thinking 3-4 days is a minimum amount of time i should really stay in one place at a time, and if thats the case id only get to see something like 8 places, and from reading other posts i do tend to see people biting more than they can chew in terms of trying to see everything in hardly any time at all.

So yeah inter tail month pass is it any good or worth the money? Are there other train options (i dont quite understand the 10 days in 22 days thing) and accomodation, im thinking booking hostels as i travel, is that risky and is it the cheapest way to travel.

Any advice would be helpfull thanks!

p.s last summer i stayed in a guesthouse in japan for 2 months, it was like a student house in terms of rental fees, £200 a month, if searched the web long and hard to find other guesthouses like this but i cant find many if any reliable sources, anyone know about guesthouses in europe? If something like that came up i might think about staying in one particular place.

ok thanks guys.

A budget of 1500 what, apples? Or quids, bucks or eggs?

Interrail passes can be worth the money if you travel around a lot. With the internet at your disposal it is easy to do the math of comparing an Interrail pass to the price of regular train, bus and plane tickets.

You don't mention any countries - just Europe. There's a big difference between (say) Switzerland and Bulgaria when it comes to cost. Give me a clue. I've done pretty much every country in Europe on both sides. Hope I can help some way.
