Venice or Milan to Frankfurt/Landstuhl

I am traveling in Italy right now and need to get to Landstuhl,Germany for an appointment on/around the 17th. I will be in Northern Italy and can fly out of either Venice or Milan. Am searching the web trying to figure out the easiest and also the cheapest way to get there....any suggestions?

I would possibly spend one night only in/around Landstuhl (for my appointment), then possibly back to Frankfurt to explore then back to Northern Italy. I have hopes of heading to Turin Italy after Germany.

Was going to fly Ryanair....until I realized that the airport is 70 miles out of Frankfurt!

Would love some help/suggestions...

Khandilee, you'll be closer to Landstuhl if you fly into Hahn (HHN) than if you fly into Frankfurt (FRA). Plus the prices for Ryanair flights cannot be beaten. The only obstacle might be renting the car to get to Landstuhl.

Doing a quick search for you I come up with Ryanair as the cheapest from both Milan and Venice to the general area (including FRA and HHN).

One more thing: You can take the bus from HHN to Frankfurt or Mainz for around 12 EUR and then go by train from Frankfurt or Mainz to Landstuhl.

Flying with Ryanair to HHN will still work out cheaper than flying into FRA, because FRA is one of the major hubs in Europe. The fees and airport taxes for this airport are enourmous and they are all added to the price of your ticket.

Thank you for the info! I was thinking from my own research that Ryanair would be best into Hahn b.ut was concerned about getting to landstuhl (rental car) and then back.l Think I will probably try this route....a little more traveling involved but a lot less money.

Yep - Ryanair's price is unbeatable by a country mile. Under €30 one way including tax. Just a small card fee to pay normally.
