hey all.

First up, im planning a trip throughout Europe with my wife and 2 young kids for a wonderful 90 day extravaganza. I'll be flying into Cologne, visiting family in The Netherlands then onto our trip. We plan to hire a motorhome and just drive and see the wonders and the historical beauty that is Europe.
I have the Belguim / France legs sorted, but would need some help with the SPAIN / PORTUGAL legs.

Idea of my trip: to photograph towns and regions that purvey their culture. Big cities like Barcelona / Madrid etc i'll still visit, but I am after some advice for some of those more wonderous little towns/villages that are picturesque as well.
I'll be going through France in May after seeing the ANZAC dawn service at Villers-Bretonneux, so hitting Spain around the late May/June timeframe. If there is something that I must not miss, let me know ! Im not a fan of hot weather, so I will not be there for long ;)

Onto Switzerland > Nth Italy > Austria > Slovakia > Czech Rep > Germany (Effectively: Western Eu)
Personally dont think that will be enough time - but we dont plan to get "parking tickets" as they say! :o)

Any advice would be very useful

Cheers
Brendan

I would recommend Granada as one of the places to go. If you don't like the hot weather, go to the south first, and then make you way to the north of Spain, where it is cooler. From Granada you can tour around Andalusia, check Ronda, and make you way north through Extremadura. Take a closer look at Truijillo and Caceres. If you have a mobilehome, you have the liberty to go to some of the smaller villages, so my advice would be to get of the motorways, and use regional roads instead. From Caceres you can cross into Portugal easily, and go further north until you get to Gallicia.

I think there is one area in the north that you should visit, and that are the mountains that make up the Picos de Europa. There are some nice little towns, and photo opportunities enough.
