I am looking for advice on nice, chilled-out places to stay on Ko Phi-Phi.........I stayed on Ko Phan-gang (excuse the spelling!) last year and stayed at the Coco-Huts, which was very cool, but am looking to go to Ko Phi-Phi as this is supposed to be very nice.
If anyone has any good advise I would be grateful!!
Hey Rob -
Koh Phi Phi is not chill at all - you can read more about it here:
More about Phi Phi
There was one pretty cool and cheap looking place I came across - right about in the middle of the island is a numch of boulders with trees and a guest house built on top. It was pretty cheap, with the option to crash with a mosquito net if the rooms were full. I don't remember the name, but it's not hard to miss.
i've been to phi phi island so many times. And it's charm is still exist.
For nice bungalow that I like is Bay View Resort. However, I don't know your budget so now sure if this is what you are looking for or not. I am a travel agency either so may be I could help to get a good deal of accom and transfer.
Bayview is overlooking the Bay ( Ton Sai bay and also could see the Phi Phi Leh [ maya beach is here where the filr ' THE BEACH ' shot )
Rimna Villa is a budget accom but it's not seaview.
The hotel that I stayed and really like is Phi Phi Island Cabana. It's 4 - 5 star hotel and overlooking both Loh Dalum and Tonsai Bay. Only few minutes walk to market and entertainment area.
These hotels is near the main pier so no need to hire additional long tail boat ( except bayview that takes like 20 minutes walk. You can hire long tail boat around Baht 50/person/way ..i guess )
Tonsai Bungalow also nice and quiet. Good to enjoy sea canoeing here. Snorkeling also possible just jump off the beach in front of the resort.
Hmm..what else..I cannot think of other right now..I will tell you later on..
Hope this could be of help to you.
