I'm a dual citizen of UK and Aus, living in UK with my fiance. Desperate to show him my previous home and a little of the world have asked him to come travelling with me for a year.

I've lived in QLD for a couple of years quite recently to go to school, but didn't see half as much of aus as i should have done when i had the chance. I want to go on the road for a while, fruit picking or the like, but what is the best way to do it?

I have visions of a VW combi and campsites as i wont go anywhere without a guitar...is it all a myth, or is it the way to go?

Any advice would be appreciated, as i want this to be something i'll remember for the rest of my life.

Hi Sarah,
It's only a myth if you let it be and you don't sound that sort, so go do it.
A friend of mine bought a camper and crossed Oz in 5 months, though I don't think she worked as well.
Should be easy for a dual citizen!
Check out Travellers Autobarn - they have offices around Oz and will rent or do buy-back schemes.

I live in Queensland and a friend of mine just got $1000 for 10 days fruit picking, not bad money!
