Travel Forums Europe Bulgaria, the EU and tourist Visa

True or False (wrong or right)

1. Bulgaria is a member of the EU.

2. It gets harder for people from developing countries to get a tourist Visa from European states that joined the EU.

3. If you got a tourist Visa to Poland, it also means you can enter France???

4. Are some EU members states have less requirements for Visa applications....

5. People who are not working for the past 6 months have very slim chance of getting a tourist visa.

WHAT IF YOU TRAVELLING for a year, you obviously have money to burn, but you are unemployed... so that means you'll need lots of luck.

I know about the sponsor thing, which some countries require...

Is it right to assume, that if an EU member country is not as weathy as Germany or France, they are so strict about giving tourist visa, especially to citizens of developing countries???

That is the reason why Bulgaria is so strict, they have already harmonised their visa-rules with the Schengen rules.

I'm not really sure what the question is? Yes, Bulgaria is a member of the EU. No, it hasn't yet implemented the Schengen visa, but yes, there are rules for getting visas. Unfortunately that's a global thing...

Maybe you could summarize your question in one sentence so people stand a better shot at being able to answer?

I don't understand the point of your questions, but the answers above are absolutely 100% correct :)

Swept Away,

you are now over 600 posts, yet your profile is as blank as that of a first-time poster. Care to change that? You'd get far more specific replies (especially in regards to visa questions) if you at least filled in your citizenship(s) and your current place of residence.

I really hope you are right... I have friends who got rejected in the past and their passports have so many stickers and stamps... they travelled and they are rich, but they cant get a US visa, even with travels to Europe and Japan and Africa.
I have less stamps... so I am insecure.

I just know that Visa applications are NOT very easy... you need to give them the impression that you are rich and that you have a bank account, that proves you are working, even if I manage to get a sponsor(guarantor)... I have friends who live in Europe. But I'll worry about it, when I already have the funds.... I am still optimistic, that I can get a visa.

Atleast, I heard that Germany, returns the visa application fee, if you get rejection. The US keeps the money and its a 100 dollars, and so many people get rejected daily.

anyway, thanks...

I haven't been home for a long time... I am a traveller, so I'm not really residing in one area... althought I am currently based in a small town.
