Annie,
2 month visas are not offered. I suggest you make your decision when Dec. 5th arrives. SaPa in the rain may not be all that much fun. HaLong Bay is beautiful, but I would not spend multiple days on a boat if it is cool and raining. Let the weather be a factor in your choice of where to go. Don't lock yourself into a schedule that will certainly change by Dec.

Good luck with your planning.

Aye, I would agree with vegasmike6's advice. Keep your plans flexible and don't book up your trips until you get to Vietnam. I booked all my trips in Vietnam usually a day or two before they left, and sometimes I even booked them on the same day.

Also, when I went to Vietnam I got a one month visa in Bangkok. You could either wait a couple of days or pay slightly more and pick it up the next day.
