Restricted roads are not a good way to enter Turkey. The Turkish officials are really anal-rententive about it, they insist that third-country citizens enter Turkey at an official border post. The restricted roads are only for citizens of Turkey and citizens of the neighboring country.

It's good to get a response from someone else that's heard of restricted roads. They've existed all over Europe for many years. It's not a worry using them now and then, as long as your paperwork (visas etc.) is in order before you enter. However, if you need a border stamp and fell iffy about the whole thing, then just get in the queue and wait your turn.

There is an Armenian embassy in Abu Dhabi. They should be responsible for Oman too. If you are in Oman for longer apply at the embassy in Abu Dhabi. It might be possible to send your passport to Abu Dhabi by mail and get it back a few weeks later with your visa.

Hi,
I am Indian, holding Indian passport, having a plan to visit Iran and after that crossing to Armenia for five days. I would like to know how to get visa from Iran? Is it possible to get visa from the Iranian border?

Hi there,
U have to get an Armenian Visa in the consulate of Armenia in India, because there are some restrictions concerning obtaining Armenian border-visa for Indians.
From Iran you may get to Armenia through Georgia, because the Azer border is closed. and Turkish border non-opened yet.
