hi everybody! I'm planning to take a trip around europe by train in august. my question is what the best way to go from dubrovnik to italy. my first option was take the bus to split and then de train to anywhere in italy, but is it better than catch a boat? can you help me with this problem? anyone knows a site where I can find the prices and timetables of this boats?

thank you very much

You have two Ferry options as far as I know.
The first is to take the daily Ferry from Split to Ancona as I've done in the past or secondly to take the daily Ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari (as I've never done).

The ferries aren't too expensive - as long as you're just a foot passenger. With a car, it's approaching a second mortgage!!
The train(s) would be, I suggest, Dubrovnik to Zagreb, Zagreb to Vienna - and then Vienna into Italy.

Check the Croatia travelguide here on TP. At the getting there/boat section yo will find routes and links to pages of the main operators.
