Hey Danielle, me and my girlfriend are also off to Aus for a year in September are you getting insurance for health cover for the whole year? when are you going..
Were starting in cairns and heading down the east coast to sydney for new years where were planning on meeting you guys and lanecove campsite, happy days!

Were leaving in sep and to behonest haven't even looked at health or travel insurance.. what types of things will it cover you for?
Thinking about getting travel insurance for the fist 2 weeks just incase we lose anything.. but other than that i havent a clue..

I just went on a website called Moneysupermarket.com click travel insurence filled it in with what I wanted where I was going and how long at it gave me a list of 60+ insurence quotes went with one for £140 for 1 year backpacker insurence that covers me in nearly every country get 10million medical costs 5million personal cover 2grand cancelation 1500 lost baggage

I went with insureandgo & put a claim in & all I can presume is that their name relates to how they tell you're insure then they go with your premium ... still haven't had any response regarding the claim.

Avoid Insure & Go at all costs....

Im currently with world nomads and have claimed for a knee injury while in canada.

The support has been fantastic. the claims process super easy and most of the costs have been dealt with directly by them.

which is important since the total cost to date is around $5000CAD
