Hi Guys,
Can anyone give me any feedback, good or bad for SAS Travel?
They do everything I want to do and so would be ideal if I go through them or it could be a disaster!
Cheers everyone

Don't know them, but their website looks sympathetically amateuristic. I also like their values (although everyone can make a beautiful promise, of course): too few companies are willing to make a commitment to the environment they operate in, and to the local people they (should) work with. I don't mean to sounds all grumpy and patronising, but when picking a tour operator it's good to remember that it ain't all about you.

My original plan was to go with peru treks for this exact reason, they're kind to the environment and their staff. I've come across SAS on my research and they do absolutly everything I want to do and some of the trips are cheaper, just worried if I put all my eggs in one basket!
I'm on a pretty tight timeframe, so don't know whether to book ahead or book on arrival, which would mean getting on the trip or trek in some cases the next day!
Any thoughts?
Thanks xx

On the inca trail, SAS are one of the really big operators, with large groups (and daily departures, I think). They were one of the operators which I'd read enough good things about that they were one of the final four operators I chose amongst, but when I saw the size of their group on the morning of the second day of the inca trail (before we quickly hiked away from them), I was rather glad I didn't end up going with them.
Of course, my negative attitude to large tour groups is my own; maybe for you this'd actually be a positive thing. :)

(A search on the forums also brings up some hits for them, and google is able to find an older thread specific to SAS.)

Great links Sander thank you!
It's made my mind up, as long as my brother is happy! ;)
