...After having spent a few lovely days snorkeling off of and frolicking on the beaches of Bonaire, the Captain and crew must say adieu to the Caribbean... With sails unfurled, the ship heads out to the open sea and onward to very special place. No, it's not Beeristan. It could have been but it's not. It's somewhere else. In the ocean. It is an island. It's also very green there. They have leprechauns and fairies and pixies and Lucky Charms cereal and Trix - because everyone knows (silly rabbit) Trix are for kids. (Look it up.)

"Captain, where are we off to now?" "Where? Oh my... Didn't you read the above paragraph? Do I write these things just to entertain myself?" "Yes Captain, I think you do. We never read the first paragraph. You're always busy shouting out orders and saying do this or do that. We don't have time enough to check our e-mails let alone read the first paragraph." "Point taken. Not agreed upon, but taken just the same. And since you asked, we're headed to the Emerald Isle. Now, trim those sails and don't ask any more silly questions!" "Aye, aye, Captain - but will there be any lemon..." "Stop asking questions and get to work!"

With that, the ship sails across the deep blue ocean, enters the Irish Sea and quick left turn into the River Liffey. "Captain, can we park behind the cruise ship?" "I don't see why not. Doesn't seem to be any parking meters so toss a line. Besides, they like pirates in Dublin so we should be okay." "Captain, how do you know they like pirates?" "Well, let me tell you the story of Grace O'Malley - Ireland's own Pirate Queen!" Silently, the crew listened to the first half of the tale, became bored, and thirsty, and headed off to Foley's for a draught. Or was it Doyle's?

As the crew dispersed they could not help themselves and started the "you know what's coming next" thing...

Now, my name is Jock Stewart
Im a canny gaun man,
And a roving young fellow, Ive been.

So be easy and free
When youre drinkin wi me.
Im a man you dont meet every day.

I have acres of land;
I have men at command;
I have always a shilling to spare.

Now, I took out my gun,
With my dog I did shoot,
All down by the river kildare

Im a piper by trade
And a roving young blade
And many a tune I do play

Let us catch well the hours
And the minutes that fly
And well share them together this day

So, come fill up your glasses
Of brandy and wine,
And whatever the cost, I will pay.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PHILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here's hoping you have a wonderful day (July 17th) filled with friends (especially Niamh and Daisy) and a bottle of Connemara single malt. I think there's a bottle still sitting, more than half full, in New Mexico... Have to check on that. If it's empty - there will be hell to pay! Enjoy the day and a very big bowl of LEMON CURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

...While still humming the Pogues tune, Captain Isa wanders off to check both Foley's and Doyle's to see where her crew may be hiding...

.......................and in a ridiculously yet not-exactly-blinding flash of green light, accompanied by the entire surviving Von Trapp family singing all your favorite songs, comes Beerman bedecked in his finest green speedo, knee-high Riverdance boots, and luxuriantly massive chestwig........

Hallloooooooo Mr. Lemon Curry Muncher you, it is I, Beerman, here to make Happy at you on this, the day after your Most Happy of Happy Days!!!!! YAY!!!!! Beerman is make apologies for being late by day, as Jase007 person would not stop buying black beers for me at Foyle's, or Doley's, or wherever we were at. After 47 black beers, one tends to make lost track of time.....and that transplanted Nikki person would not stop giggling. You are know how hard it is to make leave when persons are make giggle for 14 hours straight? I can also make blame on Greg person.....if we had not made stay in Gravity Bar trying to convince Swiss backpackers to give up their tokens, Beerman would have been on time!!!!

So, for you Mr. Phil, on this very special day, Beerman has extra special gift for you. But feerst, in immortal words of brother-in-law person, I have a question for you. What's with the old guy? No wait, that is not real question. Real question is.......wait for it.....are the hills really alive with the Sound of Music? Beerman is always make wonder at that. And is it possible, to go a-wanderin' with my backpack on my back....valder-ee, valder-aaa, valder-ee, valder-ah ha ha ha ha, valder-ee........heeheehee...Beerman is always make amuse at that too.

No, Mr. Phil person, extra special gift for you is Beerman has placed entire Von Trapp family into sweat lodge and locked door. Please to accept this box of matches to start fire in lodge. YAY!!!!

But extra special gift is this set of condor feathers kindly donated from overly feathery condor in wilds of Beeristan, and this rock....most sacred rock in all Beeristan. It makes endow holder with magical powers to resist consumption of inferior cheeses.

Many More Happy Days to you friend and son-like person of Beerman. May you make and enjoy all of life and it's beauty.

....and in another ridiculously not-exactly-blinding flash of green light, Beerman wanders off in the direction of all those giggle noises........
