Travel to Goa, and on..

Hi, whoever are out there!?

I'll spend about a month backpacking in India in September, and my original plan is to go Goa, since I've never been there before. Just relax, read a lot of books, and not much more Some say that september is off-season in Goa in September? Can anybody whose been there in september give some advise? I'd also like tips on nice places to stay, while in Goa. I don't like cold hotels, and usually prefer youth-hostels, where I get to meet and talk to other travellers.

June to October is rainy season in Goa. It's also humid. I've been a few times in January and February and had good sunny weather (while it was horrible back in the UK). Normally I would say pick a nice beach there and travel about by bus but take an umbrella for September and hope for dry days.

It will definitely be raining in Goa during September. You can also rent a scooter to travel around goa, since the roads are narrow its a great way to get around. Later in the year it does get crowded since it is the beginning of the tourist season but the weather gets a lot better during December.
