Hi Guys n gals
Im just wondering does anyone know the best place to get a deal on flights from Ireland to Oz..??
Ive been looking up flights for Jan 2010 and they fairly steep..just wondering if anyone has info on wheres best to purchase!!
Cheers guys n gals ..
I think your best bet would be to get a cheap Ryanair flight to Stansted London (or Heathrow or Gatwick and travel to Stansted), then get a cheap AirAsia flight from Standsted (Only place AirAsia take of from in Europe) to kulula lumpur Malaysia (this is the only place AirAsia flights land from Europe) and then a flight from kulula lumpur Malaysia to Oz AirAsia only land in Brisbane, Melborne and Perth I think but would only cost you £30 to fly with Jeststar, Virgin Blue or Tiger Airways from Melbourne to Sydney or get a greyhound bus for around £20 (12hours bus journey) . Its a lot of flying and change overs but with save you a killing I only paid £315 for London Standstead to Kl, KL to Melbourne the nearest airlines could only other me around £500. To get the best saving book the flight over 2 months before departure also AirAsia dont do stopovers you will have to book to seperate flights like I did so will probs like me have to stay in KL for a day or 2 (Im staying a week) as the flight from london land at around 1.30pm but the Kl to Melbourne flight left at 11.30am. If your lucky Ryanair flight will be no more than £20 so under £350 for a flight from Ireland to Oz.
I hope this information helps you and keeps your costs down the more you take to Oz the better I leave on the 1st Sept with around £4500-£5000
I'm not sure if this will help, as not sure about flights from Ireland, but I have just booked through Austravel - they were really helpful and I got flights: London Heathrow to Cairns then Sydney to Christchurch and then Auckland to London again for £850. This was much less than I could find doing a search myself as they can look at the dates and all the different airlines etc. to get a good deal.
Their website is www.austravel.com - you'll be able to find their number on there I should think.
Hey Craig..cheers for that checked out flights prob cost about 700squid which aint bad..if we can face all the connections..lol
Cheers too Lucylou..i was trying that site but it wont load for me..Id say it just a fault at the mo will try again later..

How did you get 700 I just did 9th jan 2010 Ryanair, Dublin to Stansted 20 euro, 10th Jan Airasia, Stansted to Kl £230 and 11th Jan KL to Melborne £80 so £330 add to that food, pick seat transfers etc £400 max
