I've just worked out a very nice way of pulling the stats out of Google Analytics and onto our site. So I've generated a report for the top 25 guide articles for last month on our guide stats page. Ordered by number of page views.

It should automatically refresh this table every month. Will save on posting those "top articles last month" forum entries.

Could it also be automatically refreshed every day (like the stats about top posters, hidden somewhere)?
Cheers, like it !

Nice! But since it's a monthly thing, having it posted here will remind us about it. :)

By the way, any chance of having the previous month's stats to compare?

Oh, the term 'trafficked' is usually used in a negative context, so I think it'll be better to replace it with another word.

Well, it is technically refreshed every day, but last month's stats only really change once a month :) Do you mean you want to see something like last week's stats maybe? The stats do take a little while to actually be processed on Google Analytics, so getting accurate stats for yesterday for example would not be very useful. Another idea I have though is to have a stats page attached to each of the articles. Could be an interesting thing to look at I reckon!

Hey, no problem having these posted here as well. Actually, I think the movers / shakers list is probably more interesting for forum discussions (and it changes a bit more often too).

I could try to compare to the previous month's stats. Hmm, I wonder if the API has an easy way of doing that? Otherwise I might have to make a call for each article which would be a bit of a drag.

Re: trafficked - that's exactly why I chose it. The bad connotations gave me a chuckle ;)

That's an excellent idea as well, and if it's easily doable I would go for it.
Ok, I guess I understand about the stats. It's just the one from last month and updating it daily on the travelguide statpage would be undoable. But yes, maybe last week would be a little more up to date if that's possible. And the monthly one perhaps in the forum again LOL.

Ok you stat lovers.. you will find a new tab for each article, right next to discuss called "Stats". Click to see views per day for the last month.

I might be able to bring in a list of the top 10 sources (ie google, yahoo, etc..) for each article as well - not tonight though. Shouldn't be a difficult addition from what I can tell though!
