I'm from Australia and havent been to Europe before.
I'm landing in Amsterdam on Christmas Eve and will be in Europe for 5 weeks.
I am traveling SE Asia for 3 months before this so I don't want to carry a jacket around with me.
I'm thinking of buying something from this site and getting it delivered to a cousins place in Holland so I can collect it when I get there:
Thing is, I have no idea what will be warm enough. I will be traveling through Poland, Sweden, Scotland etc so I need something wind proof and warm.
Any got any suggestions on what I should buy or some other sites I can buy a jacket from?
Thanks in advance!

If you got a cousing living in Holland ask the cousin to go to the shops and look for a really warm jacket for you.
For going to Sweden I would not order anything I haven't had in my hand and felt the quality. If I had to order I would do it from the big mail order companies in Europe, the ones where I you can order 5-6 jackets, select one, send the others back and then pay for the one you kept. Moreover I would rather order something from a Dutch company, not a UK one so you do not have to pay for international shipping. Maybe the Dutch people here can recommend a site to order from?
You might want to search for a skiing jacket, a snowboarding jacket or a down jacket.
Tip: To get more replies post a new question, subject "getting a warm jacket for winter in scandinavia in Holland" and select "Netherlands" in the "ask the travel helpers" option.

I agree with t maia, ask if your cousin could buy you one. You don't want to spend loads on a jacket only to arrive and find its poor quality and not warm enough....Good luck!
