I was wondering if anyone knows of some cheap flights from Brasil or any part of South America for that matter going to Portugal for my way back home?

cheers

Difficult to say; depends on when you fly, when you book it and through whom, which city you depart from... too many variables. TAP has the occasional deal, as does Varig. But in general South America is not that cheap to fly into/away from.

Is Varig still alive?
To add: maybe TAM has deals as well, but don't know their schedule to and from Europe.

Varig?!?! What was I thinking?

Thanks Michael. No, Varig is very much dead (taken over by GOL actually, who don't do intercontinental flights anymore).

What is a very good deal, though, is Condor. Just stumbled onto them. If you're flexible with your dates, they take you from Salvador to Frankfurt for as little as €200. I suppose it doesn't get any cheaper than that, especially since you can take a bus or European price fighter from Frankfurt to Portugal.

That's fantastic. I couldn't find anything quite as low as €200 though but still cheap.

Home is actually England but I was thinking of going via Spain or Portugal just for a bit of extra travel. Open to other options too.

Aircomet have a few cheap options to Madrid.
