Thanks for the replies. No, I meant that much for a single month. Would that be enough?

No, it's only enough for two months, for one month you need much more

That's ok with me, but don't you think it's a little strange to ask if €1250-1500 a month is enough while we are saying that it might even be enough for two months based on sirwhale's detailed information and the other extra information about avoiding the more expensive countries and travel to much to include all countries

If you have never travelled I suggest a weekend in a city or a week, start from there, see how you like it and what you like.

Isn’t there a wiki on budget costs, you should be able to see how much you typically expend, I am below the typical shoestring budget according to LP in various countries/regions. Yet on those budgets I still partied/drank a lot, ate well/saw attractions. Don’t suffer whilst travelling/eat/drink the local cuisine and see the sights don’t whisk through places, sleep 8 hours a night and get out and see places don’t hang around your accommodation during the day. I staying opposite ChungKing Mansions in HK and I left the place at 6.30 everyone morning and headed to the park for Tai-Chi then see most of the islands, not returning until 10.30 whereby I promptly went to sleep (wasn’t up for partying then). In Sydney I flew in and partied the first night and stayed in the bath for 3 days and I was so hungover on cheap wine and mixers!
