The Phu Quoc ferry will let you off at Ha Tien. There is a canal linking Ha Tien to Chau Doc. I guess you could hire a boat from Ha Tien to Chau Doc, don't know. From Chau Doc, boats go everyday to Phnom Penh. From PP, boats travel daily to Siem Reap. So, it might be possible to go from Phu Quoc to Siem Reap, all via water.

If you do this trip, please write it up in a blog. That would be interesting reading. Good luck in your planning.

Hi,

If you take a boat from Phu Quoc to Siem Reap, you should spend several days. Please imagine that it takes 5 hours from Phu Quoc to Ha Tien, 5 hours from Ha Tien to Chau Doc, five hours from Chau Doc from Phnom Penh, 6 hours from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap.

All the boats depart at 7.30 am. There is no afternoon boat. Also, there are public boat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh and then from Phnom Penh to Siem reap. The price is US$ 50 for each route.

From Phu Quoc to Ha Tien, and from Ha Tien to Chau Doc, you must charter one boat. I am not sure about the price but it is very expensive. I recommend you to take the flight. It helps you to save lots of time.

Regards,

Jessica.

Hi,

The price varies between Chau Doc and PP. Slow boat is $8, fast from $18-50 depending on where you book it. Interesting blog on this leg. This guy was all over the delta and has a great blog and photos. Give it a look.

The boat from PP to to Siem Reap is $23. But Jessica is right about the various legs of this option. It is flat out expensive compared to flying back to HCMC, bus from HCMC-PP. Or take the ferry to Rach Gia, bus back to HCMC, then bus from HCMC to PP. Cheapest option. If you go back to HCMC, you could take a 2-3 day tour of the delta and then boat to PP from Chau Doc. Plenty of options when traveling from Phu Quoc to Phnom Penh, depending on whether you want to stick with boats or use some bus on the way to PP.

Good luck with your planning.
